Poha, or beaten/flattened rice, is a good source of carbohydates and provides the burst of energy one needs, especially at breakfast time. Lightweight, easy to digest and rich in iron, poha is a crowd favourite.
Cooking instructions: Soak poha in water for a few minutes. The poha must become soft but remain intact and separate. Add to cooked vegetables and cook further to make a hearty breakfast or teatime snack. Combine poha with vegetables and peanuts for a well balanced meal.
