Moong Dal, or skinned, split green moong, is rich in dietary fibre, protein, potassium, calcium and Vitamins B1, C and B6. Foods rich in fibre can aid in weight loss, control blood sugar and lower cholesterol. Moong Dal is very light and easy to digest.
Soaking grains and legumes for 6-12 hours is essential for optimal absorption and digestion. After soaking, add water and pressure cook or simmer until cooked. Moong Dal is used in soups, curries, dals, rice dishes and sweet preparations.
