Buckwheat Pancakes

  • 2 yelakki bananas
  • 1/4 cup jaggery powder
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 ½ cups coconut mylk
  • 2 Tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 1 Tbsp liquid jaggery
  • Ghee as required


  • In a blender, add the bananas, jaggery powder, buckwheat flour, cinnamon powder and coconut mylk. Blend together to form a smooth batter.
  • On a well-seasoned and well-heated cast iron pan, pour a small ladle full of batter and cook on both sides using a little ghee. Remove from the pan, sprinkle desiccated coconut and drizzle the liquid jaggery. Serve hot.
