Breakfast Fruit and Superfood Smoothie

If you find that you don’t have the time to eat all your fruit, try this fruit smoothie that can easily be converted into a breakfast smoothie bowl. Consuming superfoods like spirulina, amla and chia first thing in the morning is recommended to build immunity, strength and to detox your body of heavy metals.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, cored but not peeled
  • 1 orange, deseeded
  • 1 large banana or ½ avocado
  • 1 plum deseeded
  • 1 Tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 Tsp amla powder
  • 1 Tsp chia seeds

Directions

  • In a high-powered blender, combine all the ingredients till smooth. If you wish to drink the smoothie, you might need to add water till it reaches the desired consistency. Alternatively, pour into a bowl, top it with granola, nuts, seeds or dry fruits and enjoy as a hearty breakfast bowl.
