Fragrant, long-grained Basmati has the highest content of all rice for amino acids and essential nutrients. Basmati is a good source of complex carbohydrates, minerals such as manganese, magnesium, thiamine, calcium, potassium and Vitamins B, E and K.
Cooking instructions: Rinse and soak rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain, and combine 1 cup rice with 2 cups water and salt to taste in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes until all of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from the heat, and allow to sit undisturbed for 10 minutes.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place.
